Networkz have installed the first RFID IBProx proximity devices to a CASIO QT6000 Touch cash register system in the world in Dec, 2007. Hot Rock Gourmet Pizza Pasta Bar, Tahunanui, Nelson, New Zealand have installed 2 lanes of IBProx proximity to their CASIO QT6000 cash register system. Hot Rock currently uses a late version Pan European V2.55 software in the terminals, utilising table maps.

Installation takes about 1/2 an hour per QT6000, similar to fitting a Dallas key reader, but the results are certainly more impressive. Up to 4 different RFID ID tags give a range of proximity logon distances and methods from bracelets, to keyring fobs, to swipe cards. Proximity reads, range to a maximum 75mm to 175mm depending on clerk proximity device.

The CASIO blue flashing light (3 times a second) commands your attention. Simply wave your tag in front of the KEP-IBPROX reader and login to the CASIO QT6000 terminal.
